What to Expect on Apples Upcoming September Event?

Apple September 10 event

It's September, my favorite month of the year. It's birth month and most importantly this is the month Apple typically announce their new iPhones.  The press invitation says "By Innovation Only" and I know that sounds a bit odd for other people. Looking at the current state of iPhone's 2-year old design, I'm quite sure some Android power user my have something to say about that invitation. In 2017, Apple took a big step in the smartphone industry by introducing the iPhone X, it was the biggest design since I can't even remember. With its round corners and edge to edge display with the notch. A necessary compromise to house it's new biometric authentication - Face ID. iPhone X was the first iPhone to use OLED display manufactured by Samsung but calibrated and design by Apple which result in more accurate color reproduction. Months later and we have seen android phone started to embrace apple design and the rest is history.

iPhone 11 - the iPhone Xs successor is rumored to be called iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. I know that's a mouthful and it's a crazy naming scheme. Apple is running out of fancy words they can use for their products. It's expected that this upcoming iPhone will be no different from the last 2 iterations at least aesthetically. The back of the phone might be the differentiator as it will be using a square "stove design"  to house it 3 camera array. Leak suggests that the third camera will be using a super wide-angle lens to keep up with the competition from LG and Samsung. Google is also embracing the "stove design" with its next Pixel phone. Though no one really cares about that phone as per the sales figure is concerned, Pixel needs to be successful as this will be the fourth year that Google is losing money and resources on their phone business. Aside from the square camera module at the back, the iPhone 11 will come in new colors, new and beefier A13 processor, RAM bump, faster Face ID, a slightly shatter-proof glass construction, and they could be ditching the "iPhone" branding at the back of the phone, moving the Apple logo a little bit low for reason we don't know yet but rumor says it has something to do with its reserve wireless charging feature. This feature will allow the iPhone to charge other devices like their Airpods.

Apple Watch

Apple Watch Series 5 - The Series 5 Apple Watch will also be joining the event keeping the same design from its predecessor. The watch will come in Titanium and ceramic finish and sleep tracking features. This could an S series for the Series 4- an incremental update from last years release.

MacBook - Take this as a grain of salt but Apple might announce a new Macbook redesign with an edge to edge display that will start at $3000 on this event. There's a possibility that Apple might hold a separate event for this new Macbook- probably October. I still hope they can give us at least a glimpse of what they've been working on.

Apple Tracking Tile

Tracking Device - iOS developers keep on seeing this mysterious "tile" like tracking device on iOS 13 build. It's an independent device that you can attach to your keys, luggage or even your pets and will allow you to track anytime and anywhere even if it's not connected to the internet. This "Find My" app on iPhone gives us some hints on how this will work. Basically, if you lost your iPhone, Find My app will be using other Apple device all around that lost device to locate it. People' iPhone on that area will send a beacon secretly to that device and the location info will be forwarded to you securely with end to end encryption. None of the iPhone users who help you track your lost item know all this process. This is a huge help and can reduce the cases of iPhone being stolen. This is on top of Apples device activation feature - a feature that android phone can't replicate 100% yet

iOS 13.

Updates: We are expecting that Apple may also give us some update on their modular computer with $1000 monitor stand. iOS 13 release date is also expected to be announced on that day.

You can watch the event via live streaming at Apple.com. I am personally excited as this might be the year I will be upgrading my aging iPhone X. Are you excited? Please tell us in the comment section below.
